Democracy?

Okay, so it may seem I'm against the Mayoral system, my tweets do indicate as much, it is because the system gives one man or woman too much power!

The latest from Peter Davies, the mayor of Doncaster is his bombastic attitude about the libraries, so much so that he will overrule a Council decision To reopen two libraries.

Overrule? He is just short of a fascist, let's face it, the English Democrats are only a few steps behind the BNP! His first job as mayor was to ensure that most of the trees and heather on Doncaster Town Moor golf course were cut down and removed so he can see the horses at the far side of the racecourse! Yet ask the race goers and the majority are only bothered when the horses are on the final straight! He was always pictured or interviewed with the Racing Post in his hand, but he seems to have wised up to that now!

Doncaster should be a Labour controlled Council, but despite the majority of Wards in Doncaster having elected a labour councillor, there is no true reflection Of this fact in Peter Davies' Cabinet!

I really hope that the electorate of Doncaster wake up and vote no to this system in May

Another day in paradise?

Doncaster? Paradise? Very definately no! But there again, some places are worse and of course plenty are better, butt it's home. So, 16 weeks ago today, on the 12th November 2011,my beautiful staffy cross, Millie, was out chasing a deer and she was run over. I have been and am still devastated because she was with me when it happened. I know plenty of people will say she was only a dog, but to me she was so much more and I miss her every day, especially on a Saturday. Saturdays to me now are sad days, yes I'm getting better, but I still grieve for her.... Anyway, enough of that for now, although I can't bring myself today to have wit and repartee.... an afternoon of sod all spreads before me, probably will play Angry Birds! By the way, my pizza the other day was bloody lovely!

My First Time

Everyone says they can remember their first time, but I'm talking about blogging! Yep folks, after a joke text from my sis in law, I set up my blog accoount and this is my first post, so forgive me if it isn't full of wit and repartee yet!

Idle hands I'm afriad, I've also joined Facebook for the first time yesterday, though I must admit I prefer Twitter and it is easier with the app for the iPad. I can rant on easily on Twitter, I haven't found my way around Facebook as yet.

So, for my first blog, boring I know, but I must go and make pizza as I don't buy the supermarket brand stuff or even Domino Pizza anymore. My own trumplet doth blow, but I make a mean pizza!
